Please contact me by telephone or email to schedule a session.

Therapy hour: 50 minutes
I accept cash, check, or credit cards. Payment is due at time of session. Please plan to provide credit card information that will be kept in your personal file. This is an office policy.
Deductibles, copays, and coinsurance payments are due at time of session. Please check with your insurance plan to determine out-of-pocket costs.
Insurance Plans
I am a provider for the following insurance companies:
With all the changes in health care recently, insurance coverage has undergone changes. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm that I am contracted with your particular plan. Since all plans are different, it is important to verify your deductible, copay, and co-insurance amounts.
Some plans allow for out-of-network providers. If you are using out-of-network benefits, you will pay for session at time of service. I will provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance carrier. Your insurance carrier will reimburse you. It is important to not that the reimbursement may be less that the service charge.
Please note that having insurance does not guarantee payment. You are responsible for payment if claims are rejected by the insurance company.
Open Path Collective: I am a provider with Open Path Collective, which is an out-of-pocket option for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Providers agree to see clients for reduced rates. To participate in Open Path, you must join online and pay a one-time fee, if approved.
Missed appointment/late cancellation fee: When you schedule an appointment, you are reserving a full hour for your self.
To avoid a missed appointment/late cancellation fee, please cancel or reschedule appointments at least 48 hours before scheduled appointment. The late cancellation fee is $100. Insurance does not cover late missed appointment/late cancellation fees.
EAP--Employee Assistance Program. EAP is a valuable work-based program that offers an assessment and short-term. problem-solving strategies for a specific problem, and referrals if the problem is not resolved. Please understand EAP services are not psychotherapy. In my practice, I see a limited number of EAP clients per year. To use EAP benefits, please clear your intent with me before scheduling a session. I typically limit the number of EAP sessions to five.
Private Pay versus Insurance: There are potential drawbacks to using insurance, which may make private pay a better choice for some. Here are a few points to keep in mind when using insurance to cover psychotherapy:

Private Pay versus Insurance: There are potential drawbacks to using insurance, which may make private pay a better choice for some. Here are a few points to keep in mind when using insurance to cover psychotherapy:
- Your employer may change insurance plans and companies. Your provider (doctor, psychologist) may not be a contracted with that company. You may be required to change providers or terminate treatment. Some insurance companies will allow "out-of-network" services, but usually at a noticeably higher copay and/or deductible.
- Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis and dates of treatment services. Some people may prefer to keep this information confidential.
- On rare occasions your healthcare provider may be asked to prepare written documentation to your insurance company justifying your need for psychological services. In these instances, the healthcare provider may have to share confidential information.
- Insurance companies have asked me to provide client records to a third-party contracted by insurance companies. My policy is to inform you, if possible, of this request.
